Adam's Week 3 Fantasy Football Reactions

Introduction: Welcome back, as I hope you all are doing well! Another week has come and gone as we now have 15 weeks of the NFL regular season remaining. Whether you are starting to rack up wins or are struggling to find your footing, fantasy football is 90 percent luck and only 10 percent skill in my opinion. As always, you will find a few of my recaps from Week 3, along with "Adam's Week 3 Quick Reactions."

At the end of the post, we will look at the waiver wire and cover some of the top priority waiver wire adds as we prepare for Week 4. Most importantly though, I hope you all enjoy reading my article!

Mostert and Tua

Dolphins Score 70 in Dominant Win:

Mercy. The Miami Dolphins offense almost looks as good as the "Greatest Show on Turf" St. Louis Rams back in the early 2000's with Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, and Torry Holt.

The Dolphins put up 70... 70 points on the Denver Broncos. Raheem Mostert and rookie De'Von Achane both scored four touchdowns, resulting in nearly 100 fantasy points combined.

Tua was nearly perfect throwing the football, completing 88 percent of his passes, while throwing for four touchdowns. Keep in mind Miami did all of this without Jaylen Waddle, as he was out due to a concussion. Next week the 3-0 Dolphins travel to Buffalo to face Josh Allen and the Bills in what should be a thrilling contest.

Williams and Palmer

Chargers Vikings Lives Up to Fantasy Expectations:

This game I knew headed into Week 3 was going to be a fantasy friendly type of game. Both Justin Herbert and Kirk Cousins are in pass-heavy offenses and love to spread the ball around, which is exactly what occurred.

A combined 99 pass attempts between Cousins and Herbert set the tone. Keenan Allen had a career day hauling in 18 receptions for 215 yards, while also throwing a 49-yard touchdown to Mike Williams. Justin Jefferson finally was able to do the griddy in the end-zone, as he scored on a 53-yard pass thrown by Captain Kirk.

Chargers receiver Mike Williams tore his ACL during the contest ending his season, as a result Joshua Palmer and rookie Quentin Johnston will see their roles expand in this Los Angeles offense. Palmer should be a top priority waiver wire add this week.

Chase

Bengals Gut Out Victory on MNF:

Finally, the Bengals are in the win column. All of those people who traded Ja'Marr Chase for Puka Nacua after two games are now probably feeling dumb, and I cannot blame them one bit. Ja'Marr Chase simply put is amazing, while Nacua has only had two really good performances up to this point. There is no way on this Earth that I would ever trade "lahjay10_" for Puka, as he proved the doubters wrong on Monday night. 12 receptions on 15 targets for 141 yards is one way to have your first breakout game of the season. Meanwhile, Joe "Main" Mixon accounted for 14 fantasy points, including a rushing touchdown. Tee Higgins had the case of the butterfingers, but still had 8 targets.

Next week Joey B and the Bengals travel to Tennessee, as they will look for their second win on the young season.

Adams

Adam's Week 3 Quick Reactions:

- The New York Giants need help.

- CMC reigns supreme in Fantasy Land.

- C.J. Stroud is better than expected.

- Tank Dell is the truth.

- Courtland Sutton is Denver's WR1.

- Derrick Henry only had two fantasy points in Week 3.

- Jerome Ford scored twice in a 19 point fantasy performance.

- How did the Ravens lose to Gardner Minshew and the Colts?

- Michael Pittman Jr. has surprisingly been consistent in the Colts passing-game.

- Zay Flowers is the top target in the Ravens offense.

- Zach Wilson needs to be replaced.

- Sam LaPorta is hands down the top tight end in the 2023 rookie class.

- Jordan Love keeps showing up and showing out.

- Josh Allen looks like Josh Allen.

- The Bears look lost.

-The only Swift/Kelce duo I care about is D'Andre and Jason.

- Adam Thielen had a game on Sunday.

- Kenneth Walker is a top five fantasy running back.

- The Cowboys should be ashamed of themselves.

- James Conner keeps churning out solid fantasy performances.

- Najee Harris is underwhelming.

-Pat Friermuth finally did something.

- Davante Adams reminded us all why he is one of the best receivers in the league.

- Arthur Juan Brown is indeed "Always Open."

- Mike Evans was productive despite the Bucs loss.

Adam's Week 3 Fantasy Studs of the Week: This week I decided to give out this "award" to three players instead of just one:

De'Von Achane: RB- MIA

Raheem Mostert: RB-MIA

Keenan Allen: WR- LAC

Adam's Week 3 Fantasy Dud of the Week: Derrick Henry: RB- TEN

Stroud

Adam's Top Priority Waiver Wire Adds for Week 4:

De'Von Achane: MIA- RB

Achane exploded for four touchdowns and 233 scrimmage yards in Sunday's dominant win over Denver. He should be the top priority add this week regardless of position if he is not owned in leagues already. He was on the field for 41 percent of Miami's offensive snaps on Sunday, as it will be interesting to see moving forward how Mike McDaniel treats his backfield.

Remember, Jeff Wilson Jr. is on IR and should return by Week 5. By then, it is only a guessing game at how the three running backs will be used. Raheem Mostert has played terrific during the first three weeks, so it is really tough to predict who will get the majority of the touches. At this point I would prefer Mostert, although that could change in the coming weeks.

Joshua Palmer: LAC- WR

Palmer should be the main guy to snag off waivers this week. With Mike Williams out for the rest of the year, the Tennessee product obviously should see more time on the field, as the same could be said for rookie wideout Quentin Johnston. On the field for only around 60 percent through three weeks, expect to see an increase of 10-20 percent if not more for the 24 year-old Palmer.

Marvin Mims Jr.: DEN- WR

Mims continues to make a big-play impact. Over the last two weeks the Oklahoma product has put up 20.30 and 16.60 points respectively, as Russell Wilson seems to like airing it out to the rookie downfield. Mims saw an uptick of five targets this week, compared to only seeing two targets each in his first two career games. Keep an eye on Mims, as he seems to be a boom or bust type of receiver at least for now, as he reminds me of Bills receiver, Gabe Davis.

C.J. Stroud: HOU- QB

Excitement is the word to use here, as C.J. Stroud is worth picking up in leagues this week. So far the top rookie QB out of this year's class, the Ohio State product is off to a rapid start to begin his NFL career. Currently the QB13 in PPR formats through three weeks, the developing chemistry he has built with Nico Collins and specifically Tank Dell makes me want to jump around the house. Look for Stroud to continue his strong start as they head home to face Kenny Pickett and the Steelers.

Other Waiver Wire Adds to Consider this Week:

Donald Parham: LAC- TE

Jayden Reed: GB- WR

Josh Downs: IND- WR

Sean Tucker: TB- RB

Final Thoughts: Although a shorter post this week I hope you all have enjoyed reading my Week 3 Fantasy Football Reactions post. As always if you have any fantasy related questions, feel free to reach out as I am always happy to help!

See you on the Gridiron!!!

Adam
